America, the sky is not falling. Let’s not be stampeded into giving away $700 billion to Bush and Paulson to bailout Wall Street without taking care of Main Street. The decision doesn’t have to be made today! Congress should take time to properly examine what is needed and what would work for all of us. Call you Congressman and tell them “right is more important than fast.” Tell Bush, McCain, et al not to try and scare us into bad decisions.

John Shadegg has received 6-figure donations from gas, oil and energy companies; voted against alternative energy bills and other bills that would help our energy situation but blames the Democrats - hypocisy.

Hundreds of people were in front of John McCain’s office on 16th Street and Missouri to protest the occupation of Iraq on Wednesday evening, March 19th.  There was notice of this as an upcoming event on AZ Central so the Republic had to have known about it.  So where is the coverage of this in the Republic?  TV stations were there, where was the Republic?

If President Bush and the Republicans are so afraid that they can’t track “terrorists” phone calls why is Bush willing to veto a bill that gives him all he needs but not immunity for telecoms?  Could it be he is more interested in protecting his friends in the telecoms than the safety of America?  Scare tactics will no longer work, Mr. Bush.  No immunity for telecoms that may have broken the law.

Fellow voters, only three states have spoken at this point. Don’t let the media decide for us who our Presidential candidate will be. There are three Democratic candidates with delegates: Obama with 25, Clinton with 24 and John Edwards with 18. Please remember to vote for your choice not the media’s choice.

My candidate is John Edwards and I hope you will join me in voting for the candidate who will stand up for you and me by reversing Bush's tax policies and trade policies, policies which have increased the burdens on workers. Edwards is also the man who will restore our energy independence and make college more affordable through College for Everyone. Of course he favors a strong universal health care – health care for all. Again, please vote on or before February 5th and join me in supporting John Edwards. Join other Edwards’ supporters by going to http://groups.google.com/group/arizonaforedwards?hl=en.

I don’t know how anyone in their right mind can support a President who can ask for $190 billion for his war/occupation for one year but vetoes $35 billion (over five years) for health care to children.  His excuses include it costs too much, will take business from his insurance company friends, will raise taxes on tobacco products and harm Senior citizens' medical programs.  However, Senior citizens as well as all caring people support the health care of our children but this supposedly compassionate conservative President doesn’t care.  He will  prevent children from getting health care and he will put the future burden of paying back the borrowing for his war/occupation on these same children.

A conversation that occurred over a period of a few weeks, with an otherwise intelligent individual who would obviously do anything to try and make himself believe that global warming was not a fact that we have to deal with.

Mothers' Day - AZNotes
Mother's Day was originally started after the Civil War, as a protest to the carnage of that war, by women who had lost their sons. Here is the original Mother's Day Proclamation from 1870.
